Professional poker players’ daily routines may not be the ideal ones to have a healthy life. The fact that they spend so many hours playing and travelling from one place to another may deprecate their health in the long ran. But in many cases, players are more focus on playing and improve their technique that they forget that health is also important.
The first step to start taking care of themselves is to become aware that having a healthy life is important. Not only for your own health, but also because it will affect your performance in the poker table, because there is no doubt that a fit player will be able to stand better the long tournament hours.
To be more fit, there is nothing better than make exercise in a regular basis. Therefore, between tournament and tournament, players need to make some room to practise some sport and do exercise.
The third important rule is taking care of their diet, and maybe for the players with overweigh problems a reduction of the calories intake could be a reasonable option.
Following those simple advices, I am sure that not only their health but also their poker strategy will improve.
